For the inauguration of the project Diabolo railway structure, which will turn Brussels National Airport into one of the most accessible airports in the world, Infrabel commissioned our team to conceive a lighting design for its spectacular opening show. In a successful collaboration with DDMC agency and PRG EML, ACT lighting design’s creative team delivered an impressive visitor experience to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Infrabel and its partners.

For this special occasion, our challenge consisted in enhancing such an original and specific environment as a railway tunnel, while keeping in mind perfect adaptation of the lighting equipment, security on site, ongoing live artistic performances and the high quality experience for almost 10000 visitors, including H.M. King Albert II and several Ministers, the CEOs of the project, partners and numerous guests. The outstanding set & lighting design that we have imagined for this opening carried out strong messages of collaboration and innovation, and put forward the unique characteristics of the site with lighting sequences to improve the ride in the tunnel with an original concept of lighting design made of 672 LEDs over 1517 meters.
